ROG Ally Switch

I already have a rog Ally non X Z1 Extreme. Currently running Steam OS, until I make a video on it. I, for the longest time, wanted to have something akin to a “guest PC,” not for the guest part of it necessarily, but instead to have a home-console like experience. However, currently, I only have R7 2700 lying around and not being used in any projects. Which, unfortunately, would not be enough for modern gaming to my tastes. Hence, rog Ally. I bought this thing from a good friend in Autumn of 2025 for 350 eur, which to this day is a steal. I also have a 2080ti lying around, which may or may not be a good idea. The lists below show what I need for the build and sources.

  • Rog Ally Z1 Extreme 350 eur
  • 2080ti or a different gpu, depends on drivers. Already have the 2080
  • The pcb from here. Found the guy on discord who is selling them in EU
  • Psu
  • Case. The pcb is made to fit adt ut3g cases, so I suppose I can just 3d print one
