Discord replacement

Not matrix 4sure. Full of csam and reeks of being a honeypot imo. A good video on this: Matrix—A Pit of Abuse with Government Ties.

Fluxer

Testing as of 22.02.26, in beta and supposedly a very new project. No self-hosting documentation yet, but should be there at some point. No mobile app so far, also planned.

  • Superslow rn, api is regularly down. This is due to influx of new users.
  • The desktop app is quite nice tbh

Stoat formerly Revolt

The slowness of development is genuinely baffling. With all due respect, not having screen-shearing after all these years is wild. Not an option so far, due to lack of screen-sharing.

Old as shit. 6.0 supports screen-sharing and is self-hostable. Also already a known quantity, since we hosted 6.0 already. Works through Proxy as well.

  • So far should be there as a back-up.

The media stack

This as a reference: https://GitHub.com/loponai/tomsparkprivacyarrsuite. Pretty funny, that the guy is calling it privacy suite, we all know what you use it for buddy.

Based on the repo above, rough list:

qBittorrent

Firgure out all the usenet stuff

Prowlarr

Jellyfin

Flaresolver

Telegram notiffications

Gluetun

vpn stuff

Some kind of sorting and marking solution, not Lidarr and Sonarr though. Too complex tbh.
